1. Human Remains Found In Nassau Park: Police (patch.com) — Residents near Port Washington should be aware that Nassau police are investigating skeletal human remains discovered Thursday evening in a wooded section of Plandome Pond Park in Manhasset, just north of town. Homicide detectives are working to identify the remains and determine what happened, and authorities say the investigation remains active with limited details released so far.
2. Fly Chick to the Moon and Lim's Kitchen close in Port Washington (newsday.com) — Port Washington's once-bustling Korean food scene just shrank sharply, with Fly Chick to the Moon on Manorhaven Boulevard and Lim's Kitchen on Main Street both closing and cutting the town's Korean restaurant count in half. Locals still have Han and Narinatto nearby, but fans of Lim's pork bossam and Fly Chick's standout fried chicken may now need to look to places like Kuku Korean Cuisine in Roslyn Heights for similar flavors.
3. Neighbors and family describe how the close-knit block and local friends supported Logan and his twin sister Riley through his illness, and how his mother still visits his grave at Nassau Knolls Cemetery to keep him part of daily life.
