Human Remains Found In Nassau Park: Police (patch.com) — Residents near Port Washington should be aware that Nassau police are investigating skeletal human remains discovered Thursday evening in a wooded section of Plandome Pond Park in Manhasset, just north of town. Homicide detectives are working to identify the remains and determine what happened, and authorities say the investigation remains active with limited details released so far.

Fly Chick to the Moon and Lim's Kitchen close in Port Washington (newsday.com) — Port Washington's once-bustling Korean food scene just shrank sharply, with Fly Chick to the Moon on Manorhaven Boulevard and Lim's Kitchen on Main Street both closing and cutting the town's Korean restaurant count in half. Port Washington street to be named for Logan Coyle, who died of liver cancer at 10 (newsday.com) — Port Washington will honor 10-year-old resident Logan Coyle, who died from liver cancer in June, by renaming part of Essex Court as "Logan Coyle Court" near his beloved bus stop. Neighbors and family describe how the close-knit block and local friends supported Logan and his twin sister Riley through his illness, and how his mother still visits his grave at Nassau Knolls Cemetery to keep him part of daily life.
