2. Catch the Bards Reading From  in Glen Cove. It's a poetry reading series, sponsored by The Bards Initiative.  

3. The Richard Avedon: Photographer of Influence exhibit is open from 11 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. at the Nassau County Museum of Art in Roslyn.
