Brass Recital Set for Sunday at Lutheran Church in Port Washington
Admission is free, but call ahead for tickets.

Don Winston and Friends will be at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Port Washington Sunday at 5 p.m. for a brass recital. Admission is free.
Special guests include tuba soloist Derek Fenstermacher and brass soloist Demondrae Thurman. Fenstermacher is the newly appointed principal tubist with the New Jersey Symphony. Thurman as a euphonium soloist has performed in Europe, Asia and throughout North America.
Don Winston is a professional engineer with expertise in commercial HVAC and sustainable buildings. He played euphonium, tuba, and trombone throughout his school career growing up in Great Neck, where he studied with Gene Brusiloff and Al Godliss. After 26 years away from the instrument, he resumed playing in 2007. Since that time, Don has studied with artists including Thurman, Roland Froëscher and Derek Fenstermacher, one of his primary teachers.
