Bryant Library in Roslyn Awarded $20K Grant
The grant will support a program that helps children and adults use 3D printers.
The Bryant Library in Roslyn recently secured $20,000 in funding to support a program for children and adults to use 3D printers.
“Bryant Library is developing an innovative new program that helps people of all ages utilize cutting edge technology to create and build,” Senator Jack Martins, who secured the state funding, said in a press release. “It’s a great way to get people of all ages engaged in learning, technology and creative thinking.”
The funds will be used to purchase technology and supplies to create a portable “makerspace” for an Inventors Club, a new pilot program at the library.

The program will allow children and adults to create projects using 3D printers, which were purchased using a prior state grant.
“Thank you Senator Martins for allocating funds for us to help bring our makerspace to life in the future,” Bryant Library Director Victor Caputo said.
