Join us at the Library on Sunday, November 15 at 2:30 p.m. in the Lapham Room and on Zoom for FOL University, the Friends of the Library’s scholarly lecture series. This event will feature Stony Brook Professor Dr. Elyse Graham, author of Book and Dagger: How Scholars and Librarians Became the Unlikely Spies of World War II. Thrillingly paced and rigorously researched, Book and Dagger is the gripping true story of espionage about a group of academics who helped beat the Nazis―a tale that reveals the indelible power of the humanities to change the world. Dr. Graham will discuss how the war was fought on battlefields but possibly won in libraries. Books will be available for purchase and signing. Register at pwpl.org/events. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library. Register here: portwashington.librarycalendar.com/event/fol-university-hold-97150
