"Camp Invention" Day Camp at Sands Point Preserve

Invent… Discover… Explore… Achieve!

Register for this new week-long summer program that inspires creativity and inventive thinking, running July 29 – August 2, 2013.

Camp Invention’s summer day program for students entering grades one through six immerses children in a weeklong experience in which he or she can discover creativity and inventiveness through hands-on, creative problem solving activities.  This year’s INNOVATE program features:

HATCHED – The Hatched online community has disappeared. Be a part of the tribe that saves its avatars by rebuilding the marketplace in this extraordinary virtual world.

POWER’D – It’s alive! In a secret lab, build your own motorized creature and bring it to life while helping a mysterious scientist harness the power of nature.

GEO-GAMES – Design sporting and game equipment, get wet and go wild as global games are fused with dynamic, high-energy activities.

I CAN INVENT: LAUNCHITUDE – Put physics to use taking apart machines and re-engineering them to create a Duck Chucking Device to destroy competitor duck territory!

Week-Long Member Privileges at the Preserve for Participants and their Families!

Registered families will receive a one-week pass (Monday through Friday) with member benefits to the Preserve. It can be used that week only without restriction during regular Preserve hours: 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. At the end of the week, participants will have an opportunity to purchase an Annual Membership Pass (regularly $100) at a special value price, that will be effective through December 2013.
