Carrie Palmer Weber Welcomes Newest Assistant Principal
Jessica Borow Zuckerman is a former Port Washington student.

The newest assistant principal of Carrie Palmer Weber Middle School was officially appointed by the Port Washington Union Free School District Board of Education on Tuesday.
Jessica Borow Zuckerman is no stranger to PWUFSD. She graduated from Schreiber High School in 2001.
“We are thrilled that Jessica Zuckerman will be joining the Port Washington team as an administrative leader at Carrie Palmer Weber Middle School,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kathleen Mooney in a statement. “I am confident that as a former Port Washington student with a wealth of educational experience, she will transition seamlessly into her new position.”
She will work alongside Weber’s principal Christopher Shields, who began his position July 1.

Zuckerman comes to Port Washington from Stephen A. Halsey Junior High School 157 in Queens, where she worked as the seventh-grade administrative dean and a special education coach since 2013. Before that, she worked as a seventh grade ELA special education and ICT teacher at Halsey.
Ms. Zuckerman holds a BA in English and psychology from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, a MS in general special education (grades 5-9) from CUNY Queens College and an Advanced Certificate in Supervision and Administration from CUNY Hunter College. She also holds several New York State education certifications, including a school building leader initial certificate.
