Chamber of Commerce Creates Port Strong T-Shirts
"The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members." - Coretta Scott King

Port Washington has always been a close-knit community, but the level of generosity, compassion and unity over these past few months has been very heartwarming. To acknowledge the altruism that residents and businesses have demonstrated during the COVID-19 crisis and beyond, the Port Washington Chamber of Commerce has created “We Are Port Strong” T-shirts. The front of the shirts feature a “We Are Port Strong” statement and a U.S. flag within a design of the Port Washington peninsula. The back will reprise a smaller version of the design with sponsor logos and a quote by Coretta Scott King that so perfectly sums up a big part of what makes Port Washington so special: "The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members."
“It is so incredible seeing how Port comes together in a crisis,” incoming Chamber of Commerce Board President Debbie Greco Cohen said. “We have always been a generous and caring community, but what our residents and businesses have demonstrated during the COVID-19 crisis towards families in need, seniors and otherwise makes me even more proud to be part of this unique town. It is also terrific to be working with Spectrum Designs for printing and taking care of the shirt orders.”
Available in adult and children’s sizes, the T-shirts are $12.50 apiece. The shipping charge is $6 regardless of the number of shirts in an order. Because the popularity of this shirt cannot be estimated, pre-orders are being taken. After June 26, the orders will be printed and delivered by early July. Orders can continue to be placed through July 15, after which point, these remaining shirt orders will be printed and mailed.
