The Turning Point: The turning point was undoubtably Yeung's goal in the first half. It set the tone for the entire game - a low-scoring, fast paced contest where no one could get the ball in the net. Yet when it looked like the Vikings could come away with a tie, Nicole Gabade of Clarke laid down the hammer with another goal. Although Gabode's goal came last, Yeung's shifted the momentum of the entire match.
The Quote: "We're young, inexperienced, and we didn't hustle to the ball the way they did," said Head Coach Joe Lederer. "The second half I thought we played a little bit better though. We tried to beat them to the ball instead of the other way around."

The Bottom Line: Although sophomore Danielle Rosmarin had a goal in the second half, Schreiber was inconsistent near Clarke's goal and it showed in the final score. Had the Vikings offense stepped up, perhaps Port Washington could have come away with the victory. Still, the Vikings proved that they could hold their own. Although there were many points were the girls could have given up, they kept on fighting.
Key Stat: Port Washington gave up the first goal for the second game in a row. This time, though, they were unable to come up with the victory.
