Defense Driving Courses To Be Offered In Town Of North Hempstead
The classes will be a refresher for drivers, as well as potentially lowering auto costs for some residents.
TOWN OF NORTH HEMPSTEAD, NY — Defensive Driving classes will be offered throughout the year in Manhasset Hills.
The Town of North Hempstead is partnering with AARP to host these classes to help refresh residents' driving skills. Another possible advantage of this program is to reduce auto insurance costs for residents. AARP is a nonprofit organization that advocates for people over the age of 50 years old.
The classes will be held in Clinton G. Martin Park, offering how to stay alert and distraction-free while driving, as well as practicing how to drive a safe distance from another car, driving according to weather conditions, and how to best manage speed while driving, amongst other important safe road practices.
