DeRiggi-Whitton Sponsors Tax Grievance Workshops

The assistance of an attorney is not needed to file a tax grievance and Nassau County makes the process easy.

Nassau County Legislator Delia DeRiggi-Whitton has sponsored several tax workshops that provide property owners with all the information they need to file grievances.

Workshops were recently held in Glen Cove and Port Washington, both of which had approximately 100 attendees. The third and final session will take place on Thursday, February 23 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Sea Cliff Village Hall, 300 Sea Cliff Avenue. Any resident of Nassau County is invited to attend.

The assistance of an attorney is not needed to file. “Many homeowners who attend these workshops are surprised at how easy it is to file grievances,” Legislator DeRiggi-Whitton said. “Whether online or by mail, the County has streamlined the process of filling out and submitting the form to make it simple to file on their own.”
