A Legal Workshop for Mental Health Profressionals

The Law Firm of Wisselman, Harounian & Associates, PC are pleased to provide a very special complimentary legal workshop with a very special guest. Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. Workshop 9:30 a.m.

Mr. David Goldman will speak, firsthand, about the legal and mental health related issues he has dealt with resulting from the abduction of his son, Sean, to Brazil by his wife.  He and Sean (then four-years old) were separated for five and a half years until they were finally reunited in 2009 with support from such high level U.S. government officials as New Jersey Congressman Chris Smith, U.S. Senator from New Jersey, Frank R. Lautenberg and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.  News of the decision made headlines around the world.

Mr. Goldman will describe his legal battles domestically and internationally, and share the emotional impact that the abduction has had on him and his family.  Issues to be discussed will include mental health issues related to parental child abduction, the Hague Convention and its enforcement, fathers’ rights/parental alienation and visitation access by family members.
