The beginning of the holiday season brings joy to some, yet thoughts of hunger to many.
The Economic Opportunity Commission (EOC) of Nassau County, Inc. will host its Annual Thanksgiving Luncheon on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 24, 2011, at the Freeport/Roosevelt Economic Opportunity Commission (EOC), 281 Babylon Turnpike, Roosevelt, NY, 12:00 Noon – 3:00 p.m.
Community residents are invited to participate, celebrate and embrace the spirit of Thanksgiving in our community.

At last year’s luncheon, the EOC provided over 300 individuals with a hot, nutritious meal. “The Thanksgiving Day Dinner brings community residents together in a family setting. We are grateful for the volunteers and donations that enable us to help individuals celebrate with their family and friends, and to be grateful for what has been provided for them.” said Iris A. Johnson, Chief Executive Officer/Executive Director, EOC of Nassau County, Inc.
