GIRLS SOFTBALL CLINIC - JULY 9 to JULY 12, 2012 for ages 6 to 14.
Port Washington Youth Activities in conjunction with the New York Softball Academy announce their 4th Annual Girls Softball Clinic to be held at Lion's Field in Port Washington July 9th through July 12th 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM with July 13th as a rain date. Great instruction by top college softball coaches and players on Long Island including Jamie Apicella head coach of the CW Post women's team. Students will be grouped by age, evaluated by the staff and regrouped based on ability. Emphasis will be placed on teaching the fundamentals of hitting, fielding, pitching, infield and catching. This is a great clinic and so close to home. Cost is only $175 for the week for Port Washington residents and $195 for non-residents. Port Washington Youth Activities (PYA) is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) charitable organization formed to promote the exemplary development of local youth through participation in sports. PYA teaches teamwork and individual responsibility in an atmosphere of respect and sportsmanship. While PYA places emphasis on the development of sports skills, its primary mission is to develop character and an understanding of how participation in sporting events can prepare one for success in all endeavours.
