The League of Women Voters (LWV) of Port Washington-Manhasset and the Port Washington Public Library will jointly explore the question, “HOW TO GET DEMOCRACY WORKING AGAIN?” on Wednesday, September 19 at 1 pm, at the library.
First they will screen the new documentary Patriocracy, which analyzes the roots of the political polarization that has rendered our country dysfunctional; the film also offers sound solutions for restoring civility and functionality to American democracy.
Discussion will follow along with a presentation by NYS LWV President Sally Robinson on How to Increase Voter Participation, the first step in setting our country back on course.
