CENSORSHIP IN SCHOOLS AND LIBRARIES: Don Parker’s lecture traces the history of censorship in the United States, with special attention given to censorship on Long Island, including Port Washington. The exhibit, “Censorship in Schools and Libraries” will be in our Community Gallery during October. Mr. Parker is a retired teacher and founding member of the Nassau Chapter of the New York Civil Liberties Union, and the Co-coordinator of the L.I. Coalition Against Censorship.
