Parents' Council Meeting

All are welcome to attend the upcoming Parents' Council Meeting on January 21st at 9:30 am at the Port Washington Public Library.  Our speaker will be Sheri Suzzan, the new Director of Cultural Arts for the school district.  Ms. Suzzan will give an update on recent and upcoming events in the district, the opportunities students have to be involved in the arts, and the importance of the arts in education.  She will also be available to answer questions from the audience.  

 Parents' Council is proud to sponsor a screening of "Race to Nowhere" on Tuesday, February 8th at 7:00 pm in the Schreiber auditorium. This provocative film has recently been featured in the New York Times, on the Today Show and CNN, and has garnered national recognition as it examines the academic pressures placed on students in high achieving school districts to build their resumes for college.  The event is open to anyone who is interested, but space is limited.  In order to attend you must register for a free ticket at http://rtnschreiberhs.eventbrite.com.
