Pirates of the Caribbean Preservers' Celebration at Sands Point Preserve

Join us for the Fourth Annual Preservers' Celebration: "Pirates of the Caribbean" on Saturday, April 28, 2012 - cocktails at 7:00 pm and dinner at 8:00 pm.  Historic Hempstead House will be transformed into a swarthy sea vessel - come dressed as a ship's captain or rogue scalawag - a lady or a galley wench.

Entertainment by The Ray Catchers, Live Auction by Eliot B. Millman for beautiful jewelry treasures, a weeklong stay at the perfect pirate hideaway on Virgin Gorda and more... Open bar and valet parking are included. Treasure maps and a message-in-a-bottle for everyone!

The 2012 Honoree is Marcia Forman, a champion of numerous environmental preservation and restoration projects at the Preserve and in other Sands Point locations. Awards of Distinction will be given to the Sands Point Police Department, the New York State Theatrical Organ Society, and Peter Dejana who, through the Phil Dejana Learning Center, helped re-establish environmental education at the Preserve and re-position the Preserve as an resource for school districts.
