Self-Care Institute, an integrated holistic health and wellness firm in Port Washington, announced today that it will offer an instructional workshop designed to teach individuals how to use the practice of mindfulness and meditation as a means for improving their overall health and healing.

"This workshop is designed to demonstrate that. Participants will leave with a clear understanding how mindfulness works, and the tools to continue practicing it at home.
In addition to an in-depth introduction to the fundamentals of mindfulness and meditation, the program will include guided instruction in a combination of breathing techniques, yoga postures and thought-process methods that harmonize the energies of one's body, mind and spirit.
