Multimedia Lecture by Charles A. Riley II, PhD
Wednesday, November 13 at 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
As Fitzgerald completed his masterpiece, The Great Gatsby, in France during the Jazz Age, his social circle included Picasso, Leger, Cocteau, Man Ray, Gertrude Stein, Gerald and Sara Murphy and many of the stars of Modern art. Join cultural historian and curator Charles A. Riley II, PhD, author of The Jazz Age in France and a professor at CUNY, for a multimedia introduction to the art scene, including Hemingway, Dos Passos, Cummings, Cole Porter, Josephine Baker and so many others who were at the party.
The Design Showhouse will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 13 only. The Palm Court Café will serve salads, light entrees, and beverages, elegantly prepared by Philip Stone Caterer.
