Guggenheim Brownie Troop 434 Paints Teal Pumpkins for Allergy Awareness
Brownie Troop Participated in Teal Pumpkin Project for Allergy Awareness on Halloween

During their monthly meeting on Tuesday, October 18th, the Brownies of Troop 434 painted small pumpkins a teal color to call attention to allergies. The girls will place these pumpkins in front of their homes to signal to children with allergies that they have non-food treats for them this Halloween.
The pumpkins were purchased at cost from North Shore Garden Center who is participating in the Teal Pumpkin Project. They also provided an additional 3 pumpkins to the Troop to paint teal and return to the garden center. These pumpkins will be sold at North Shore Garden Center for $5 and the proceeds will all be donated to FARE, Food Allergy Research & Education.
Many other Girl Scout Troops are participating in the Teal Pumpkin Project all added by North Shore Garden Center.
