Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued for Long Island
The National Weather Service cautions that travel may be hazardous late tonight and Saturday morning.

Be careful if you’re driving late tonight and early Saturday.
The National Weather Service has issued a “Dense Fog Advisory” and “Hazardous Weather Outlook,” which is in effect from midnight through 9 a.m. Saturday.
The advisory is in effect for Long Island and New York City.

The National Weather Service cautions that visibilities will be a quarter mile or less during the advisory period.
“Impacts … Hazardous travel areas with reduced visibilities,” the advisory states. “A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced to one quarter mile or less. If driving … slow down … use your low beam headlights … and leave plenty of distance ahead of you in case a sudden stop is needed.”
