International Students Looking for Host Families in Port Washington

Do you know anyone who would like to host an international high school student?

The International Student Exchange is looking for at least one Port Washington family to host an international student this upcoming school year.

The international student would be treated as another member of the family while attending Schreiber High School, which was named a High Performing Reward School by the New York State Department of Education for the 2016-17 school year, in September. The students, ages 15 to 18 ½ years old, can stay for 5 months, 10 months or 12 months programs.

The internationals students come from more than 45 countries and are fully insured with a medical policy. All students know English and they must maintain certain grades to get into the program. While they must maintain a “C” average and carry at least four academic classes, most of them are “A” and “B” students.
