Graduating college is an exciting milestone - but shortly after, you are faced with the million dollar question "when are you getting a job"?
If only it were that easy.
Parents spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on college tuition and yet so many adult children come back home to live because they graduate without a job.
Even worse, they don't have the tools and knowledge to get started in what could be a very overwhelming transition and job search process.
Many aren't sure what they want to do, others know but can't figure out how to get started. The job market is competitive and it's hard to stand out amongst the hundreds of other applicants. Sounds pretty intimidating.......but there is a solution.
Finding a job is a job in and of itself.
Luckily, there are proven strategies that when applied properly, cut the job search time down by half, provide clarity and focus to the college grad, build confidence and significantly increase their likelihood of entering the workforce.
The very first step for transitioning into the workforce is focused on CLARITY.
Without being clear on what they want, no one will hire the college grad. They must be able to articulate their personal brand and what value they offer. To help get them clear, I often have my clients focus on the things that they know they DON'T want.
There are key questions that quickly gets them out of ambiguity. From there, we turn the conversation around to what they can do and with my input, we translate that to real career paths.
It works...and we talk much more about this in my FREE workshop, "Is your Résumé Good Enough? See event details below.
