Israeli Art Expo Comes to Port Washington

Art lovers take note. Sunday and Monday bring the Bar Kocva Israeli Art Expo to The Community Synagogue.

The event features more than 2,000 unique pieces of fine artwork by about 45 different Israeli artists.

Kocva is a  graduate of Israel’s Bezalel School of Art in Jerusalem who creates one-of-a-kind designs. The expo includes Kocva’s collection of jewelry – earrings, broaches, rings, necklaces and watches. It also features Judaica made from silver, gold and titanium, with ancient Roman glass, moon stone, opal, amber, mother of pearl and more. And it will feature original paintings and serigraphs, tallitot, kippot, challah covers and afikomen bags, as well as glass, wooden, precious metal, iron, stone and clay Judaica pieces, including some prominent artists from Israel, according to Community Synagogue.

Prices range from $20 to $1,500, with most available within the $20 to $95 range.

Sponsored by the synagogue’s sisterhood, the exhibit is open Sunday and Monday  from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Community Synagogue is located at  160 Middle Neck Road in Port Washington.
