Kellenberg Memorial High School Athlete Wins Award at Spring Awards Banquet

Head coach Robert York had this to say about Joseph Panico. When you look at an athlete who embodies “valuable” you look no further than this hurdler who lead our team as captain in the winter season and continued to lead our veteran and freshman hurdle crew through a season of fine development. In addition to his runner up finish in the hurdles at the Valley Stream Challenge Invitational, he was also our leadoff leg on the 4X100 meter relay that competed at the historic Penn Relays in Philadelphia. His accolades on the track are to be acknowledged, but what a coach sees both on and off the track as a mentor and friend to all those who commit themselves to this program is something that will stick with you forever. Our most valuable award for the spring season goes to senior Joseph Panico.
