Haley Rose Fuchs Exhibit Closes Thursday

The display includes selected drawings, paintings and poems.

We've seen hundreds of events come and go in the community, but how often does one pass you by that you wish you hadn't missed? That's why Port Washington Patch will post a quick reminders about the events, activities or important tasks where appropriate.

Thursday is the last day to see the selected drawings, paintings and poems of Hayley Fuchs (October 17, 1991- October 26, 2011) at the Port Washington Public Library’s Community Gallery.

According to a description posted at the exhibit, Hayley Fuchs lived as an artist, athlete, enviromentalist and humanitarian, who spent most of her life in Port Washington. While Hayley took her own life at the age of 20, she was "able to use her art as a medium to express her pain," according to the exhibit. The display is meant to share some of Hayley's work "in hope that art can heal."
