Learn How To Bake A Rainbow Explosion Cake At Upcoming Workshop

PORT WASHINGTON, NY--Port Washington residents will soon have the opportunity to learn how to bake a colorful confectionary delight known as the rainbow explosion cake.

Guest chef Pam Sorin will be teaching the necessary skills at her upcoming June 8 workshop, scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon at The Cooking Lab, which is located at 162 Main St., Port Washington.

According to event information, the cake is generally sold for upwards of $150 at specialty bake shoppes. It's made with rainbow vanilla layers and colored homemade frosting. A candy surprise in the center awaits consumers. No wonder it's gaining popularity on Instagram. Sorin will teach whoever attends the workshop how to bake the cake from scratch, as well as ways to customize the cake to your liking.

The class is open to anyone 13 or older. Tickets are priced at $75 and can be purchased on The Cooking Lab website.
