Live Music This Weekend in Port Washington

Jimmy Webb, Jane Monheit at Landmark; opera at Port Washington Library; pop and rock music at Dolphin Cafe.

Port Washington’s lower Main Street will become a music scene this weekend.

At Port Washington Public Library, it’s “Italian Passion in Opera and Song.” Capitol Heights Lyric Opera Company presents arias and romantic songs performed by Richard Cassell, Kevin Courtemanche and Frances Devine, accompanied by pianist Martin Yazdizk. Refreshments will be served. Sponsored by the Sons of Italy, John Michael Marino Lodge #1389. 7:30 p.m. The library is located at One Library Drive.

At Dolphin Cafe, The Imagine Trio – an acoustic pop/rock group featuring David Holliday, and Chris and Diana Polvere – performs. Admission is free. The Dolphin is located at 299 Main Street.

Jimmy Webb and Jane Monheit present their new show created specifically to kick off Landmark on Main Street’s 2014-15 season, a co-presentation with Usdan Center for Creative and Performing Arts on Saturday. A few tickets still remained as of Friday morning. Check the box office for more information. 8 p.m. The Landmark is located at 232 Main Street.
