Manhasset Forum Features Legislature, North Hempstead Candidates
Among the candidates scheduled to participate: Judi Bosworth, Richard Nicolello, Delia DeRiggi-Whitton, Ellen Birnbaum, and Charles Berman.

MANHASSET, NY — Sixteen candidates, including the North Hempstead town supervisor and presiding officer of the Nassau County Legislature, are expected to appear at a forum in Manhasset later this month.
A question-and-answer session will be held Thursday, October 17, at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Shelter Rock, according to the local chapter of the League of Women Voters. The forum will begin at 6:30 pm. Refreshments will be available for attendees.
Candidates will talk about where they stand on key issues. They'll also take questions from the audience. There is no entrance fee.

Nassau County Legislature
District 9 (New Hyde Park, Mineola, Garden City Park, Albertson, Williston Park, East Williston, Roslyn Estates, Munsey Park, Plandome Heights, Plandome and Plandome Manor)

- Mal Nathan (Democrat) and incumbent Richard Nicolello, the legislature's presiding officer (Republican)
District 10 (Great Neck peninsula, Manhasset Hills, the Village of North Hills, and parts of Albertson, Garden City Park, Herricks, Manhasset, North New Hyde Park, Searingtown, and Albertson)
- Incumbent Ellen Birnbaum (Democrat) and Helene Sherman (Republican)
District 11 (Sands Point, Port Washington, Roslyn, Roslyn Harbor, Glen Head, Glenwood, Sea Cliff and Glen Cove)
- Incumbent Delia DeRiggi-Whitton (Democrat) and James M. Greenberg (Republican)
Town of North Hempstead
- Receiver of taxes: Charles Berman (Democrat) and Ron Rochester (Republican)
- Supervisor: Incumbent Judi Bosworth (Democrat) and David Redmond (Republican)
- Council District 2: Ragini Srivastava (Republican) and incumbent Peter Zuckerman (Democrat)
- Council District 4: David Yaudoon Chiang (Republican) and incumbent Veronica Lurvey (Democrat)
- Council District 6: Mariann Dalimonte (Democrat) and incumbent Dina De Giorgio (Republican)
