Metropolitan Commercial Bank Announces its Holiday 2016 Coat Drive
Partners with Long Island Cares to help "Keep a neighbor warm this winter."
For thousands of Long Islanders, enduring the winter without a warm coat to protect them from the season’s chilling cold is a real challenge. So Metropolitan Commercial Bank is collecting slightly used and new coats at its Great Neck banking center and has partnered with Long Island Cares to have the coats distributed to those in need throughout Nassau and Suffolk counties.
“Metropolitan Commercial Bank has a long tradition of giving back to the communities we serve. It is especially gratifying during this holiday season to be able to help provide warmth and the hope that these coats represent to so many families in and around our communities,” stated Laura Capra, Senior Vice President and Head of Retail Banking. “We asked our employees to help us jump-start our coat drive. Their response has been overwhelming; just another example of how Metropolitan Commercial Bank employees rally together to help make a difference for those less fortunate.”
Metropolitan Commercial Bank clients, as well as neighborhood residents and businesses, are invited to walk into the Bank’s Great Neck banking center located at 111 Great Neck Road in Great Neck Plaza during regular business hours and donate gently used or new coats for children and adults. The Bank will be collecting coats through December 31, 2016.
