Motorcyclist Killed in Roslyn Crash

The motorcycle collided with a vehicle driven by a 90-year-old Thursday night, police say.

A 28-year-old man was killed after police say his motorcycle collided with a vehicle driven by an elderly person in Roslyn on Thursday night.

According to authorities, a 90-year-old Roslyn Heights resident was driving southbound on Roslyn Road, south of IU Willets Road, when his or her vehicle, a 2013 GMC, was involved in a collision with a 2007 Honda motorcycle traveling northbound at 7 p.m.

The motorcyclist, identified as an Elmhurst resident, was pronounced dead at the scene. The person’s name is not being released at this time, police say.

Both vehicles were impounded for brake and safety checks.

The investigation is continuing and the crash has been deemed non-criminal.
