This past weekend North Shore Athletics faced off against the Oceanside Mariners in a double header on Sunday. In the first game David Cytryn pitched 77 pitches in a complete game, 2 hitter and NSA won 1-0. This was a huge win for the athletics because Oceanside is ranked first in the division.
The second game was another tight game with the athletics losing to Oceanside in 8 innings with a score of 2-1. Mikey Perez and Jacob Katz both split time pitching for the Athletics and only gave up a combined two runs against a good hitting team in Oceanside.
Next up for the Athletics is a double header vs. Lynbrook. If they take both games the Athletics will be tied for second place in the division going into the summer season. The 11u summer team will be playing over 20 games and tournaments. The North Shore Athletics feel good about their first season and look forward to moving on to the summer season!
