
Historic Hempstead House is 100 years old - the perfect setting for Marilyn Satin Kushner's fascinating presentation entitled “The New York Art World 100 Years Ago: Modern Art & Revolution in 1913″ on Sunday, November 24, 2013, at 1:00 p.m.
Ms. Kushner, PhD, is Chief Curator of Prints, Photographs, and Architecture at the New York Historical Society - and she is a co-curator of the current landmark exhibition, "The Armory Show at 100: Modern Art and Revolution" at the New York Historical Society. She brings her unique perspective on European avant-garde painting and sculpture and their impact on the New York art scene in 1913 to the Sands Point Preserve in conjunction with the Design Showhouse at Hempstead House, open through Sunday.
