People of Port Washington: 2 Help Return Woman's Lost Debit Card

POPW: After a woman's daughter dropped her debit card, two people were able to find a way to get it back to her. Here's how they did it.

PORT WASHINGTON, NY — People of Port Washington is a series that features the good deeds of samaritans in the area.

This story comes from Port Washington resident Maria Fiorenza Weiner, whose daughter dropped her mom's debit card. Thanks to the help of Peter and Iman B. Bishara of Beacon Pharmacy (103 Main St., Port Washington), the debit card was returned. Here's Fiorenza Weiner's story:

"I can’t express enough how much I love our community. My daughter borrowed my debit card yesterday and somehow lost it on Beacon Hill Road while she was walking with friends to go to Main Street. A very nice gentleman by the name of Peter found my card and posted it on this site. I, of course, hadn’t seen the post and didn’t know my card had been lost (my daughter is 15) until Iman, the pharmacist at Beacon Pharmacy which I am a customer of, called me on my cell phone to tell me that someone had found my debit card and to look up his post on the Port Washington Parents Facebook page. Thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to try and contact me. I truly appreciate it. Port people are the best. I love how we look out for each other. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️"
