People Of Port Washington: Man Helps Fix Flat Tire

POPW: A man helped a Port Washington resident with his flat tire, pumping it with enough air to get the car to a gas station.

PORT WASHINGTON, NY–People of Port Washington is a series that features the good deeds of samaritans in the area.

This story comes from Port Washington resident Mark Germain, who writes about an act of kindness by a man named Corey.

"I want to say thank you to Corey, a good samaritan, who brought to my attention that my car had a flat, unbeknownst to me, as I was doing some stuff in my car before heading into Stop and Shop. It appeared I ran over something that totally let out all the air while I was parked. He had a portable air pump, which he used to help fill the tire enough for me to make it to the [Soundview Service Center] gas station, and they fixed it right away. So that was serendipitous! I do what I can for others in these situations, and I am glad others do as well. Thanks again, Corey! And to all other good samaritans."
