Police: Great Neck Man Drove Drunk With Child in Car
The 22-month-old child was released to the mother on Sunday.

A man was arrested in Great Neck early Sunday morning for driving intoxicated while his child was in the back seat of the vehicle, police said.
Authorities pulled over a 2004 Chevy Blazer for a traffic stop on Udall Drive at 3:39 a.m. and determined that Jaime Salazar, 28, of Great Neck, was intoxicated, police said.
Salazar’s wife and 22-month-old child were reportedly in the back seat of the vehicle in proper restraints. The child was released to the mother at the scene.

Salazar was charged with driving while intoxicated with a child in the car (Leandra’s Law), driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated and endangering the welfare of a child. He was arraigned Sunday at First District Court in Hempstead.
