POPW: Local Store Manager Helps Woman Buy Daughter's B-Day Cake
POPW: A local store manager helped a woman buy her daughter's birthday cake after she didn't realize the bakery didn't accept credit cards.

PORT WASHINGTON, NY—People of Port Washington is a series that features the good deeds of samaritans in the area.
This story comes from Port Washington resident Cherie Khan, who writes about an act of kindness done by Ihab, the manager of Ayhan's Mediterranean Marketplace & Cafe located at 293 Main St. in Port Washington.
"I was at St. Honore Pastry picking up my daughter's birthday cake and didn't have cash, as I didn't realize they don't take credit cards. Ihab, the manager from Ayhan’s Marketplace, was at St. Honore and heard me tell the cashier I would be back with the cash after I found an ATM. Ihab insisted he pay for it, and that I could reimburse him the next time I came in to Ayhan’s Marketplace. So it’s not just the Turkish Lentil Soup and the amazing jazz that makes me a regular there."
