Port Residents Encouraged to Find Safe Rides Home on Super Bowl Sunday
There will be extra taxi cabs on call in Port Washington for anyone who needs a ride home.
Residents who have plans to go out drinking this Super Bowl Sunday in Port Washington are urged to fit a safe way home into their evening plans.
“Enjoy the time spent with friends and family, but be smart and have a plan before you leave,” Port Washington Police Commissioner Angela Lawlor Mullins said.
On Sunday, make sure there is a designated driver available to take you home.
If not, there will be extra drivers working at local Port Washington taxi companies to make sure no one has to drink and drive.
Residents are encouraged to use the Have A Plan mobile app by STOP DWI.
This app allows New Yorkers to:
- Locate and call a taxi service
- Program a designated driver list
- Learn about Blood Alcohol Content levels
- Lean more information on DWI laws and penalties
- Report a suspected impaired driver.
