Port Students Enjoy a Spook-Tacular Halloween
One elementary school paid homage to the "The Wizard of Oz" with some creative costumes.
Port Washington elementary students had some Halloween fun by paying homage to a childhood classic tale while learning about the importance of Halloween safety.
Sousa Elementary School conducted assemblies led by “Detective Tony,” who taught youngsters some very important Halloween safety guidelines. The assembly concluded with students pledging to trick or treat on behalf of UNICEF, which addresses child hunger globally.
At Daly Elementary School, preschoolers and their teachers paid homage to “The Wizard of Oz.” Youngsters dressed as munchkins, Principal Sheri Suzzan played Glinda – the Good Witch and prekindergarten teachers filled out the roles of the remaining members of the Oz gang!
