Port Washington HarborFest 2019: Here's What You Need To Know
Port Washington's 29th annual HarborFest is approaching. Here are the event details, activities and more.
PORT WASHINGTON, NY–Port Washington's 29th annual HarborFest is fast approaching. The festival takes place Sunday, June 2 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Town Dock and lower Main Street in Port Washington. Parking is free, and so are trolley and shuttle buses from the Long Island Railroad Station and Manorhaven Park. Admission is free.
Features include a craft show with over 90 vendors, fire boat demonstrations, a children's fun park containing games, a mini train, crafts, sports, a dunk tank and science fun, the opening of the treasure chest, an environment expo, a model boat regatta at Baxter's Pond beginning at 9:30 a.m., a new nautical exhibit in the Tugboat Museum, PAL basketball and baseball contests, merchant and organization booths and exhibits, kayaking and paddle boarding, free tote bags and a food court presenting local Port Washington food.

The Family Fun Stage and Talent Show schedule is as follows:
- 10:15 a.m.- Brownie Troop 447 leads audience in "Our Pledge of Allegiance"
- 10:20 a.m.- Alexandra Verkowitz will sing "The Star-Spangled Banner"
- 10:25 a.m.- "Talented Kids of Port Washington"
- 12:30 p.m.- Voice Academy
- 1 p.m.- Berest Dance
- 1:30 p.m.- Bluemoon Taekwondo
- 2 p.m.- Bands of HarborFest: Bach to Rock & iSchool of Music

There will be a fee attached to cruises. HarborFest Dock Day and Craft Festival is presented by the Town of North Hempstead and the Port Washington Chamber of Commerce. The festival is meant to celebrate Port Washington's nautical heritage on the waterfront of Manhasset Bay, and to enhance public awareness of the need to protect and preserve it.
