Port Washington Learns to 'Power Up' Homes
Residents for A More Beautiful Port Washington held a forum on energy efficiency, and inducted three officers to its board of directors

Energy efficient homes can help the planet, and your wallet. The Port Washington community had the chance to learn how to live a little greener at the Residents For A More Beautiful Port Washington’s annual meeting on Oct. 16 at the Port Washington Public Library.
At the meeting, three new officers – Thomas C. Havens, Dan Renna and Roy Smitheimer – were inducted to the organization’s board of directors.
Those attending the forum, “Powering Up Your Home,” learned not only how to make their home more energy efficient, but also how to receive a free or reduced cost energy assessment and pre-qualify their household for all grants and financing their household for which they may be eligible.
