Port Washington Man Charged With Robbing Delivery Drivers at Gunpoint
The man targeted workers making deliveries to local homes, police said.

A 24-year-old Port Washington man was arrested in connection to two incidents where delivery drivers from the same company were robbed at gunpoint while making deliveries on local streets in Port Washington North this month, police said.
Following an investigation, Kyle E. Kimmel was arrested on Dec. 22 for allegedly committing the following robberies:
- Robbing a local delivery driver at gunpoint on Seagull Lane on Dec. 13 at 6:40 p.m.
- Robbing a local delivery driver at gunpoint on Seaview Lane on Dec. 21 at 11:45 p.m.
Kimmel was charged with two counts of first degree robbery and seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

He was arraigned in First District Court on Dec. 23 and is being held on $45,000 bail.
Port Washington Police Chief James Salerno praised the work of the patrol officers and detectives who worked on this case.
