Port Washington Man Killed in Atlantic Beach Motorcycle Crash
The accident occurred Monday evening, police say.
ATLANTIC BEACH, NY - A 22-year-old Port Washington man was killed when his motorcycle collided with an SUV in Atlantic Beach on Monday evening, police said.
According to authorities, Thomas Kraft was riding a 2006 Kawasaki motorcycle eastbound on Park Street, near Nassau Avenue, when the vehicle drove into the opposite lanes and collided with a Mercedes-Benz SUV traveling westbound at 5:37 p.m.
Kraft was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, police said.

The driver of the Mercedes, a 55-year-old man, and his female passenger were taken to a local hospital for trauma services.
Police do not suspect criminality and both vehicles were impounded for brake and safety inspections.
