Port Washington Polar Plunge Postponed, Harbor Frozen

TOWN OF NORTH HEMPSTEAD, NY — The Town of North Hempstead's Polar Plunge has been postponed to March.

The Polar Plunge was originally slated for Feb. 7, but will now take place on Mar. 7 in Port Washington. It has been postponed due to the Harbor and beach being frozen over with ice.

The event raises donations to support Special Olympics.
