Port Washington Police Officer Seriously Injured During Police Escort

A Port Washington Police Officer was seriously injured in an accident while assisting the Port Washington Fire Department on Saturday night.
The officer was operating a motorcycle during a police escort to the hospital when the accident occurred, according to Port Washington Fire Chief Brian Waterson.

The man was transported to a hospital by Nassau County Police Ambulance where he was treated for serious injuries.

The Port Washington Police Department wished the officer a speedy recovery in a statement on Facebook: “The Port Washington Fire Department is sending prayers for a speedy and full recovery of a Port Washington Police officer that was involved in a serious line of duty accident tonight while assisting the Port Washington Fire Department. We keep him, his family and his partners in our thoughts.”
