Port Washington PRC Receives Grant for Kids to Go to Summer Camp
The grants will allow many children from low-income families to attend PRC camp this summer.

The Port Washington Parent Resource Center’s Outreach Program was recently awarded a $2,500 grant, which will help fund summer camp for Outreach children.
The grant provided by The WE Care Fund, which is part of the charitable arm of the Nassau County Bar Association, gives many children the chance to attend the summer camp.
“Many of the kids in our Outreach program would not otherwise be able to attend camp, so we are truly grateful,” said Leila Noor, Director of Development at the PRC, in a statement. “Camp is important to our Outreach children because it gets them use to separating from their parents for a long period of time, and it is also a great way to meet new friends.”
