Port Washington Scouts Earn Eagle Scout Rank
The two newly appointed Eagle Scouts completed community projects to attain this status.

Two members of Port Washington’s Boy Scout Troop 241 recently attained the highest rank in Boy Scouts.
The two newly appointed Eagle Scouts, Justin May and Nicholas Moy, completed community projects to attain this honor.
May and Moy were presented two citations and New York State flags for their accomplishments from assemblywoman Michelle Schimel at the Eagle Scout Court of Honor.

“It is an honor to have two new Eagle Scouts inducted into the community,” Schimel said. “I am pleased to see the work these scouts have done, and I am proud to have them as constituents.”
May’s project benefited the Port Washington Library, where he worked with the library’s Director of Services Rachel Fox to make the library’s garden safer for children and a better place to learn.

Moy’s project allowed him to give back to Saint Peter of Alcantara Roman Catholic Church, where he relocated the rose garden and signage dedicated to the memory of Monsignor Walter E. Simmons.
