Port Washington Store-Worker Returns Woman's Lost Belongings
A Yummy Oriental employee returned Cherie Khan's zip pouch after she dropped it near the train station.

PORT WASHINGTON, NY--As Port Washington resident Cherie Khan put it, angels do exist. Khan shared in a closed Facebook group related to Port Washington that back on the night of May 5, she dropped her zip pouch that contained all her IDs, credit cards and a very expensive piece of jewelry that held sentimental value.
She wrote she was distraught the entire following morning. Later that afternoon, Stanley from Yummy Oriental, a Chinese restaurant on Port Washington's Main Street, showed up to her doorstep. In his hand, he held a plastic pouch containing Khan's valuables. Stanley told Khan that he found it next to the train station after she dropped it.
"Shout out to Stanley," she wrote. "Please patronize his business. You know I will!"

Khan said she went to Yummy Oriental last week to thank Stanley personally, who told her "it was the right thing to do," which she felt implied he didn't believe he needed to be personally thanked for his act of kindness.
Patch tried following up with Yummy Oriental for a comment from Stanley, which has not yet been returned. Yummy Oriental is located at 86 Main St. in Port Washington.
